Before you start

  • Clean dust and fingerprints from the display.

What does the complete screen test check?

The guided test displays controlled patterns for dead and stuck pixels, RGB subpixels, gray uniformity, gradients, contrast, text sharpness, scaling and motion. The browser does not physically scan the panel; you inspect each pattern and record what you see.

How to interpret the results

A single suspicious point that stays black on bright colors may indicate a dead pixel, while a point that remains a fixed color may be a stuck subpixel. Uneven gray or white areas can indicate panel uniformity differences, and visible steps in a smooth gradient can indicate banding. Motion tests are visual comparisons only and do not measure laboratory response time.

For a reliable check

Repeat any suspicious result at a second brightness level and, when possible, test the same location on several contrasting colors. Dust, browser zoom, display scaling, reflections and image-processing settings can all affect what you see.
