What does a screen response-time test show?
It helps you visually observe how a display handles moving objects and color transitions. Visible trails, smearing, inverse ghosting or lost detail may indicate slower pixel transitions or aggressive overdrive, but this browser test cannot calculate a certified millisecond value.
How to get useful results
- Use the display’s native resolution and normal refresh-rate setting.
- Disable unusual browser zoom and compare with your normal overdrive setting.
- Follow the shapes with your eyes instead of staring at one fixed point.
- Repeat at slow, medium and fast speeds on light and dark backgrounds.
