How does DeadPixelTest.net handle your data?

Most diagnostic tests run locally in your browser. The site also uses Google Analytics to understand site usage and may use Google AdSense on eligible content and tool pages. Camera, microphone, location and sensor access only starts after you choose to grant the relevant browser permission.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 18, 2026.

DeadPixelTest.net provides browser-based screen and device diagnostic tools. This policy explains what information may be processed when you use the website and how third-party services used for analytics and advertising may handle data.

Diagnostic tools and local processing

Core tests such as screen colors, keyboard visualization, mouse testing, drawing, and the Complete Screen Test are designed to run in your browser. Test observations, recent-tool history, preferences, and temporary wizard progress may be stored locally on your device using browser storage. DeadPixelTest.net does not receive the text you type into the keyboard tester or the drawing content created in the stylus tester merely because you use those tools.

Camera, microphone, location and sensor permissions

Some tools need browser permission to access a camera, microphone, location, motion, orientation or another device capability. Access begins only after you start the relevant test and the browser grants permission. Camera previews, microphone test input and similar diagnostic streams are processed in the browser by the tool unless a page clearly states otherwise. You can revoke permissions through your browser or device settings.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are visited, general device and browser information, engagement, and diagnostic-tool navigation. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies and may process identifiers and technical information according to Google's terms and privacy practices. We do not configure the keyboard tester to send individual key names or typed content to Google Analytics.

Google AdSense

Eligible content and diagnostic pages may load Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or other technologies to serve, measure and limit advertising, subject to user choices, applicable law and Google's policies. AdSense is intentionally not loaded on our About, Contact, Privacy, Terms, 404, unpublished template, navigation-hub and Complete Screen Test pages in this build.

Consent and privacy choices

Where required, consent for advertising, analytics cookies or related data processing should be collected through a Google-certified consent management platform or another compliant consent solution. Visitors can also control cookies, site data and permissions in their browser settings. Advertising and analytics availability may vary by region and by consent choice.

Information collected by web hosting and security systems

Like most websites, hosting infrastructure may process technical request information such as IP address, date and time, requested URL, browser details and security logs. This information may be necessary to deliver the site, prevent abuse and troubleshoot technical problems.

Local storage

Some features use local storage to remember preferences, recently visited tests or unfinished local test progress. You can remove this information by clearing site data in your browser.

Third-party links

Pages may link to external websites. Their privacy practices are controlled by those third parties, not DeadPixelTest.net.

Children's privacy

DeadPixelTest.net is a general-purpose diagnostic utility and is not designed to collect personal information from children. Do not provide unnecessary personal information through any browser prompt or contact method.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when site features, analytics, advertising services or legal requirements change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision.
