Device Life Checker
Estimate device age and a practical replacement-planning range from the purchase date and device type.
What is the Device Life & Expiry Checker?
Estimate device age and useful-life planning range for phones, laptops, monitors, tablets and TVs.
What the Device Life Checker can—and cannot—estimate
Device age is useful when planning maintenance, resale or replacement, but age alone cannot reveal the true health of a battery, display, storage device or motherboard. This tool uses the purchase and age information you enter to create a planning estimate rather than claiming to read hidden hardware health.
For a more reliable result
- Use the original purchase or manufacturing period if you know it, rather than guessing from when you first received a used device.
- Combine age with real symptoms such as battery runtime, display defects, storage warnings, overheating or unreliable charging.
- For a used phone or laptop, run the screen, touch, keyboard, camera, microphone and audio tests as separate checks.
- Manufacturer service diagnostics or battery-health tools are more appropriate when you need component-specific health data.
What this test cannot confirm
The result is not a warranty decision, failure prediction or guarantee of remaining life. Two devices of the same age can have very different conditions because of usage, environment and repair history.
