What does a green screen reveal on a display?
Pure green isolates the green component of each pixel and can make failed or weak green subpixels easier to spot. A flat green field is also useful for checking obvious tint and uniformity differences.

Use Pure Green #00FF00 for diagnosis. If a suspect point looks black, red, blue or significantly dimmer, compare it on the other primary-color screens before drawing a conclusion.
Display uniformity
Scan the screen from center to edges at a normal viewing angle. Large patches or color shifts may reflect panel characteristics, viewing angle or display settings rather than individual pixel faults.
