What is a purple screen useful for?

Purple provides a clean creative background and colored light source for video, photography, calls, ambience and visual projects. It also gives you another flat color for spotting obvious display nonuniformity.

Purple screen for lighting and ambience

Violet, Lilac and Deep Purple presets offer different moods for a room, webcam setup or video background. The display emits light rather than reflecting it, so it may look different from a painted or fabric background.

Purple backgrounds for video

Use fullscreen mode for a clean field without text, or download the 4K/8K PNG files for editing, streaming layouts, slides and other creative work.

Long-duration purple screen

The timer supports 10 hours, 24 hours, 100 hours and no limit while the page remains open. Wake Lock is requested when enabled and available.

Display testing

Purple combines red and blue output. It can reveal obvious anomalies, but use exact red, green, blue, white and black for systematic pixel testing.

How to use the full-screen color safely

1. Set your display to a comfortable brightness.
2. Choose the exact color or shade you need.
3. Select a duration only when you need a long session.
4. Keep Screen Awake enabled if you want the browser to request Wake Lock.
5. Press Exit or the browser Escape control when finished.

Long-duration color screens are browser utilities. They do not override every operating-system sleep, battery, thermal or screen-protection rule.
