What is a yellow screen useful for?

Yellow provides a bright warm field that can reveal obvious color or pixel irregularities and can also work as a simple warm background or ambient light source for photos, video and room lighting.

Light yellow screen for a softer glow

Light Yellow and Pale Yellow reduce the intensity of pure #FFFF00 and can feel more comfortable as a temporary warm background or fill light. Display color varies by panel and brightness setting.

Yellow screen for display checks

A flat yellow field combines red and green output and can expose pixels that remain blue, black or unusually tinted. Confirm findings with the primary-color and white/black screens.

Warm lighting and background uses

Use a yellow screen as simple ambient light, for camera backgrounds or for creative video. It is not a calibrated lighting source and should not be used where accurate color rendering is required.

How to use the full-screen color safely

1. Set your display to a comfortable brightness.
2. Choose the exact color or shade you need.
3. Select a duration only when you need a long session.
4. Keep Screen Awake enabled if you want the browser to request Wake Lock.
5. Press Exit or the browser Escape control when finished.

Long-duration color screens are browser utilities. They do not override every operating-system sleep, battery, thermal or screen-protection rule.
